THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO ENTERED.
Blog Hop Party
blog hop party
Just what you've been waiting for.
The GIVEAWAY announcement
I'm joining in with the Quilting Gallery Blog Hop Party. There are about 155  edited to over 250 now! sbloggers who are all putting giveaways up on their blogs - just for the heck of it...'tis the season and all that!

I've chosen to go with a CHRISTMAS THEME
and here is what you can win...

In this little package there are two very yummy half yard pieces of Christmas fabric...

... and this pattern for a wall hanging...

What do you have to do?

1) Leave one comment only telling me which New Year's Resolution you kept this year? If you didn't keep one, which one do you'd wish you kept?

One of my New Years Resolutions for 2011 was to change my needle for every new project I started...a very practical resolution and one that should have been very easy to keep...I just didn't count on needing new needles at odd hours of the night... The verdict  - I mostly did manage to stick to that resolution...and there were no guilt trips if I didn't do it straightaway...I think I've got this resolution business all sussed out! I'm looking forward to reading your stories!

2) Open to International bloggers.
3) That's it...no hoops...
Comments close on December 17, 6.00PM EDT( ie Australian Eastern Daylight Time)

thanks for taking a peek over the fence...

This post will be up earlier than some of the Northern Hemisphere blogger, so check the Quilting Gallery Blog link from December 10 onwards to enter other bloggers' giveaways.

I am so proud of my SAL quilt brightly displayed for Christmas. This years resolution (as well as finishing some of the UFO's again) is to become confident with free motion quilting on my Janome. Not leaving that one to chance, signed up with a group on Facebook & an online course. Tracee xx

  13. Oh my what scrumptious looking fabric. Hold on I just ahppen to have space for it on my shelf. (LOL) I resolved to organize my stash by colour. Did I keep it? sort of...Started out the year just fine, but it got disorganized the more projects I worked on. Now I get to start all over again and Ooooo fondle my fabric.

I've failed in the area of making breads even though we've made some. I would like to get to the point where we have homemade bread for lunch ALL the time. :-)

I think I've gotten more "craftier" than the year before and I would like to continue doing this! It's my goal to live in the sewing/craft room. Ha!

Thanks for the lovely giveaway. kcarlson1152[at]hotmail.com

    ReplyDelete
  109. I completed at least 9 of my UFO quilts and made from scratch 8 quilts. My mostly red, white and blue baby quilt(ufo) took 5 yrs to complete very densely hand quilted. It won a blue ribbon at the fair this year. My Safehaven thimbleberries quilt was on that I started and completed this year. So I was able to keep my resolution of finishing ufo quilts actually only 2 were on my list and completing some new projects. Woo Hoo

    ReplyDelete
  110. I didn't keep mine and plan on trying again this coming year. I want to be more relaxed and balanced in my life and take time for myself to regroup every day.

My resolution was to be able to say no to other things and make more time for quilting. Its been hard but I have managed it.

Next years resolution, do something about the extra weight Ive gained sitting behind a sewing machine instead of running around all the time!

    Merry Christmas

  119. Personal resolution for this year was to drop pounds. Didn't do that, but I also didn't add any weight, so semi-good. On the sewing front I wasn't going to buy any new fabric for quilts, just use what I had. That lasted until March. Beautiful fabric you have.:) ~Nita

    ReplyDelete
  120. It's not actualy a resoluton...I deside every month what craft, work or privat things I will do at this time and I do it. It's fun an I enjoy every minute of what I'm doing! Thank you for this great giveaway and many greetings from Austria

    ReplyDelete
  121. My resolution was to start exercising, bought the exercise equipment and it is still in the box! Maybe for 2012 I can make a resolution to get it out of the box and use it :)

    ReplyDelete
  122. Gee, I quit making them as the weight never seems to go down, chocolate tastes too good, I get half way through organizing and get distracted and we all do get another chance any time we wish to make a change for the better. My mid year resolutuion was to start walking with a neighbor. We are on our third month and have added another person join us. A friend and I try to meet once every two weeks to do nothing but sew. We've been doing that for about 4 months now. Mid year resolutions seem to have more traction.

    Thanks for the give away

    ReplyDelete
  123. I didn't make any resolutions. But, I did start quilting last month, which is something I've always wanted to do. I made one quilt (Baby) last month and am finishing one up now for the back of the couch.

  140. Thanks for the chance to win such lovely Christmas fabric. I don't make New Year resolutions but if I did I would choose to get more exercise and take better care of my physically aging body..

  141. I wish I would not put off what I have to do and attend to it promptly. Failing every year in this resolution.

  142. It's been such a long year that I can't even remember making a resolution. I hope that counts for the entry.

  143. I didn't make any resolutions last year, but I can tell you what my resolution will be this year: reduce the number of PIGS (projects in grocery sacks.) I don't do the UFOs, at all. If I start it, I finish it. If I hate the project and don't intend to finish it, I canabalize the fabrics and get rid of it. This year, my resolution is, complete 2 PIGS before starting or buying a new project. I actually started this in September, and so far so good. I made up 3 pigs, and only did one new project.

  144. I don't make New Year Resolutions, I kind of think you set yourself up for failure. I do believe in setting goals, but that's a year long thing. Thanks.

  145. I didn't make any New Year's Resolutions because we moved this year and I knew that would be stressful enough (I was right!). We did it and are getting settled... finally! Thanks for the great giveaway!

  146. I didn't keep the watching what I ate more this year. :( Oh, there's another New Year coming up soon! Here we go again. Lovely fabric..Kd

  147. I do not make New Year's resolutions. I am praying for better health this next year.

  148. I didn't make any resolutions this year.

What beautiful fabric! Thank you for the chance to win!

  149. My resolution was to visit my mom more often and enjoy our time together. Yes I did keep this resolution. I love the idea of visiting Australia but since your blog is international, this is the closest I will ever get. Love your kangeroos and bears. I have heard of the saying, The Dingo ate your baby, but I hope that is not true for anyone. I would enjoy making the cute Christmas Wall Hanging with the Christmas Fabric. It has been a pleasure to take a peak over the fence and I'm sure there will be a lot of international quilters coming your way. Thank you and Merry Christmas.

  150. I don't usually make New Years resolutions, but I did keep a promise not to drink any pop or cola drinks. It's been much better for my health.

  152. I stopped making resolutions years ago because I made great attempts at them, but always failed ( i.e. loose weight) in the long run.
I hate being disappointed in myself.

  153. My resolution is to stay focused. I tend to start many projects and then don't quite finish them. 2012 will be a chance to change that.

    ReplyDelete
  154. I didn't make any... mainly because I never keep them! I did make myself a promise to continue to better myself as a wife and mother. I'm nowhere near perfect, but I'm always trying! :) Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  156. I want to lose some weight.
Thanks for the generous giveaway and a chance to win!

  157. One resolution I kept (possibly the only one I kept) was to spend more consistent time sewing. I've been able to do that this year, and hope to continue next year :)

    ReplyDelete
  158. I didn't really make one -
SO THAT - I could not break one
But - I want next year to be the year of organization and clean house. I'll never stick to that one though.
    Life is just sooooo busy.
Mabye I should say PRIORITY instead.
Thank you for the chance to win :)
I hope you and yours have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!
    and

  159. I always forget the ones I made by the end of the year...maybe my nre resolution will be to write them down...and leave them where I can find them again!

  160. I tried really hard to use my stash this past year and check there first before heading to the quilt shop. Still spent too much, but am supporting a local small business!!!
Next year, I will be focusing on all those UFOs collecting dust in my studio.
P.S. Love the Christmas giveaway and pattern!

    ReplyDelete
  161. No, the one I remember, to get on top of my UFO's didn't really happen. No guilt either because at least I havent made new ones and i am learning new skills all the time to enable me to finish the older projects eventually. The important thing is we keep moving forward!

  162. New Years resolution was get more of my quilting projects finished. Well I didn't do very well. I still have lots to do. The Xmas fabric is lovely with that wallhanging. I love how people can pick fabric that looks great with the patterns. Thanks.

  163. Well... I kept my resolution to lose weight. In retrospect I should have made a resolution to keep that weight off!! Another year, another try!!

  164. Oh I love the Christmas fabric. I really don't think a I made a resolution last year because I knew I wouldn't manage to keep it. Why start a new year off knowing your headed for failure.
