Wednesday is the new Tuesday...

I lost Tuesday...careless of me I know.

The important thing about Tuesday was that I was going to announce the winner of my celebratory giveaway.
So let's pretend it's still Tuesday (which it probably is somewhere in the world)...* drumroll*
the lucky winner of the "out of the hat draw" is...

Congratulations Kel, your goodies will soon be on their way.
I've sent you an email to find our your favourite colours for your new travel sewing kit!

Thanks everyone who visited and commented.
It's nice to know that there are people out there who get to see what I'm up to...other than just family, and it makes me feel a part of this wonderful world of handcrafters (gives the ego a bit of a boost now and then too!)

Well I'm off to make the most of what's left of that cook dinner first!

thanks for taking a peek over the fence...

A little bit of goodness arrived in the mail, in the shape of a charm pack of domestic bliss from the lovely Adrianne at Little Bluebell.
want the “paint box” print – it comes in 3 colourways… I’m just a little bit greedy…

I’ve finally completed block #5 in the Canton Village Bloggers BOM. I started using my tiny stash of Saffron Craig fabrics, but realised I’d need more of the prints to make all 12 blocks. I found a couple of new (to me) online fabric shops that had some of the earlier ranges in stock - Earthgirl Fabrics and Wapped in Fabric – just sharing the love!
Nearly closing time for my bloggy giveaway…follow the link followers of mine!

Amigurumi…& Giveaway closing

Hey where did that week go?

For me it went by in a blur of work, school restarting, a daughter moving to University 3 hours away and the unexpected need for me to get a new laptop!

I’ve managed to work on a few things…but I had to let the housework go…you know how it is!

My latest obsession  - amigurumi
The Snail and LochNess Monster have taken over my evenings.

I’ve been using up that multicoloured wool with the starfish from the previous post and these two,  and it still doesn’t look like it’s going to run out…I can see a few more animasl coming to life in that colour scheme!

Now this gorgeous little lot - 60 assorted 5" charm squares- is what I’ve cut up for the GIVEAWAY – it’s still open. for your chance to enter…Go to this post here - but only till MONDAY 20 FEBRUARY.

And also included in the prize is your choice of colour for a custom sewing travel kit.
Off you go now...

More Bee Blocks...and giveaway still open

I am loving this whole idea of being part of a sewing bee!
I've just finished the February block for my Sew & Bee Happy group.
Kat decided on this rainbow wonky star quilt pattern and the colour I picked to work with, was dark green.

A bit of digging through the stash and I discovered that I have so much green - which is strange because if I'm  asked I usually say that purple or blue are my favouite colours....hmm although the colours of this blog are a bit of a giveaway!!

Another fun  thing to happen was I stumbled on this post by Angela Pingel who designed the Stargazing block for Modern Blocks. She's on the look out for examples of her blocks and the 3 that I made are now on her flickr page in 99 Modern Blocks and in her cut to pieces flickr page. You can see some of them on the left sidebar under Flickr photos...Ok enough of the boasting....

Now did you see I mentioned GIVEAWAY..., well if you haven't already been to my previous post and entered, just click on the big green (hmm there's that colour again...) word and you will get taken straight there...hurry though, it ends on Monday 20 February...

thanks for taking a peek over the fence...
