A while ago (a loooong while ago) I won some lovely vintage sheet fat quarters from Jacquie of Hazlenuts
I couldn't cut into them...if you could see and feel them, you would be the same I am sure. I wanted to do them justice and find the perfect project to use them for.

Well, then I had an accident with the enter key....and somehow these solids turned up at my place...
Put them together and a bit of magic happened...
This pattern, from "Quilting in No Time", is the inspiration for the quilt I'm going to make from my little stash of fabrics.
I've even worked out how to cut the fat quarters so I use every inch of the fabric.
I have started cutting them and it didn't hurt one little bit...I'm happy for them that they are going into a great quilt.
A very happy accident indeed!

I'm laughing so hard! Maybe I can explain a few purchases to DH that way. I had an accident with the enter key.. LOL!!!!
ReplyDeleteAren't those the best kind of accidents! I can't wait to see your quilt. It is going to be lovely.
ReplyDeleteSo that's your latest excuse.......very creative I must say. The Quilt is going to be amazing so I suppose you can justify this lot of fabric. He will catch on one day, you know that don't you? xx
ReplyDeleteThere are no accidents in life!!!!! Everything happens for a reason!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see this come together, keep us posted won't you?
That's going to be such a pretty quilt. Can't wait to see it finished. By the way, I often have the same problem with my "enter" key. It is the cause of my ordering things I had no intention of ordering.
