Bunting?...
I know it looks like I've been making rectangular bunting...
but no...lots and lots of squares for Minky's quilt.
I have made quilts for 4 of my girls. This is the last girl quilt to be made. The daisy print in the foreground is the main border fabric and the stripe is for a narrow inner border. We picked out colours from the main print to use in the squares and threw in orange to pick up the colour in the stripe. I love the way it is coming together - so does she!
I am getting it done so much quicker since I decided to give up housework...
I still have to come up with the right idea for a quilt for the BaTH (Boy about The House)...I like to keep the most challenging till the very end! He was going to get one for his 18th birthday - but that was in 2010...I really should have given up housework sooner.

Quite Quietly Quilting
I haven't been around here for a bit because I've been doing stuff...quite a variety of stuff..
Just a few...
Just a few...
photos... I love the way this bag goes together.
to... and I even had a go at meander quilting...I like!
look... almost finished.........
at... the complete kit. Bought at the Sydney show and totally DONE!
A few Prints Charming offcuts turning into a scrappy table topper. Todays project is to finish this off with a dark brown border and layer it ready for some embroidery quilting "a la prints charming".
The ripple crochet that I really wasn't going to start, but found myself with some time on my hands in a place that was quite impractical to take my sewing machine.
May I recommend that you don't mindlessly chain your beginning row sitting in the doctor's waiting room stopping only when your daughters name is called.
I accidentally have 24 repeats of 14 (+3) - a whopping 339 chains - oopsie! It's wider than a queen size bed! yikes!
In case you can't tell...I did get a new camera...

My Creative Space
*humming to self*"Wet washing hanging on the line, drying very quickly when the weather's fine"
My creative space could have been filled with catching up on sleep, washing, cleaning and drying from the ski trip, but luckily I finally got around to a little bit of creating.
Mmm...circular needles - I don't think so. At least I tried.
Sewing the 'square in a square' for the Mariners Compass and/or Paisley quilt (depending on what I feel like calling it at the time). This feels like a much more productive and creative space.
only a few! more to go (88 to be exact).
...stop looking at me...you know you are beyond my skill level just yet...
Take a trip on over to Kootoyoo for plenty of creative people, who could whip up this little bloke in the blink of an eye.
thanks for taking a peek over the fence...
